Technological equipment owned by the company and operated at the facilities of the Television and Radio Broadcasting Network of Armenia (TRBN Armenia) is used for digital television and public FM radio broadcasting throughout the Republic of Armenia.

The digital television broadcasting network was built in 2014–2015. After nearly a decade of continuous operation, the equipment has become physically and morally outdated and is subject to replacement in the coming years.

The FM radio broadcasting equipment is even older, with the network constructed between 2003 and 2006. In the case of radio broadcasting, modernization is planned through the implementation of a digital radio broadcasting system.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The improvement of the operational conditions of TRBN Armenia’s television and radio transmitter network and the introduction of a new operational model aim to achieve the following key objectives:

• Installation of new, modern security systems at broadcast stations,
• Improvement of operational conditions for broadcasting equipment,
• Increased reliability of broadcast stations,
• Modernization of infrastructure,
• Introduction of a new and modern model for organizing maintenance and operations․

EXPECTED RESULTS

As a result of the program’s implementation, the following outcomes are expected:

• Enhancement of the technical reliability and operational stability of the broadcasting network,
• Introduction of a new level of security and monitoring at broadcast stations,
• Creation of a more efficient technological environment for equipment operation,
• Reduction in the frequency of technical failures and maintenance-related costs,
• Decreased influence of the human factor in management through the introduction of automated systems․
